Managing oral mucositis

Management of oral mucositis is not easy but there are ways to treat it.

In a survey of nurses, oral mucositis has been identified as the most debilitating and significant problem associated with cancer therapy to patients and to nurses.1 Proper management of oral mucositis requires assessment of the mouth before cancer therapy begins and regular checks for oral mucositis throughout treatment by doctors and nurses.

Speak to your doctor or nurse if you are worried about oral mucositis.
